GreatToysOnline.com @ Anapolis

I have been partnered and sponsored at the same time by GreatToysOnline.com ( GTO ) since around 2010. Malvin Lim of GTO has been very generous in supplying mw with Bandai model kits before. However due to some circumstance, he will no longer supply me with Gundam kits. I could however get other awesome items as his shop! And his shop is so awesome to put in words.

I always visit GreatToysOnline at Shoppesville Greenhills, however I was told to pick up some toys for unboxing and photo shoot at GTO Anapolis. It was my first time to visit that branch which was just a 6 minute walk from GTO Shoppesville. I love the Anapolis branch, it is more commuter friendly too! It is basically just a few minutes walk from the MRT ( train ) station.

Do check out GreatToysOnline at Anapolis soon! Below is some photos of the GTO branch and a map.

Below are some Great Toys from GreatToys for unboxing and photo shoot! Stay tuned guys! Thanks as always for dropping by! Until next post! Just enjoy the hobby! :)

Hot Toys Superman " Man of Steel " photo by JEY_S05

Can't help but share you this non-mecha post at our MAC forums before I retire to bed today.

This was shared to us by fellow Filipino Gunpla modeler in JEY_S05 at the least active section of our MAC forums which is the collection hub.

I love the Hot Toys stuffs but I could never afford them of course... wife will kill me and I am too broke these days to even get a Gunpla. I like the Iron Man from Hot Toys more as the other figures with real cloth as costumes bothers me a lot, due to the huge out of scale stitches ( pardon my OCness ).

However, this Superman " Man of Steel " figure is just too cool to ignore! I watched all 4 of the Christopher Reeves Superman movies with my dad when I was young. I think it was 4 movies and I remember I liked the crappiest of them all which was the 4th movie.

The Christopher Reeves likeness of the figure blows me away! Head out to our collection hub section of our MAC forums for more photos of this stunning Hot Toys figure photographed and shared to us by Jey_s05. Here is the link guys...

HY2M Air Shock Battle 1/12 Beam Saber - review

I got this cool Gundam toy a few days ago and wanted to post photos the moment I opened the old box. HY2M stands for Hyper Hybrid Model and this is a 1/12 Air Shock Battle Beam Saber released way back 2008. I think based on the box, this is compatible with the huge HY2M 1/12 Gundam replica sold for 3,400 USD at Bandai Hobby Shop.

Obviously I can only afford the beam saber and I love this toy / replica so much. When you turn on the beam saber it vibrates and releases a nice start up sound. It then releases some humming sounds whenever it is idle and it also turns off when unplayed for a minute or so.

The beam saber has motion sensors that releases different kinds of swooshing sounds depending on your movement. Try pretending that you are a Gundam and pull the beam saber from your back, the sound is really cool and it even has some vibrations.

Their are two red switches on the hilt, the first one releases more swooshing sound effects and the other one is way cooler as it releases some Amuro phrases! A red light around the tip area also lights up as you play with the beam saber. The speakers is at the bottom of the beam saber and it releases not so loud sound,  I mean the sound effects could be louder and flashier.

Anyways, never mind the kiddie lights and sound effects, the toy / replica looks soooo stunning on my computer desk. This is a must have for any Gundam fan as it is not that expensive at 1,400 Php. Now here are some photos...

Evangelion: You Are ( Not ) Alone figures

Ello guys, I was working with the leg armor parts and modding them to expose the internals after lunch today. But, as usual with exposing internal mods, I wounded myself with a fresh very sharp art knife!!! My left thumb has a nice 7mm wound now, thus I cannot do Gunpla further.

Anyways, I resorted to taking photos of my new Evangelion figures instead. I finished watching the first movie - Evangelion:1.0 You Are (Not) Alone and I am halfway with the second movie - Evangelion:2.0 You Can (Not) Advance. I am a new Evangelion fan!!! I plan to get a Bandai kit of at least one of the Evas soon! Maybe do it after my PG MKII commission build.

I have yet to get a Shinji figure and I plan to get the other characters in pilot suits also. Anyways, here are photos of Rei Ayanami ( white ),  Asuka Langley ( red ) and Kaworu Nagisa ( violet )...

Here is my simple photo set up... I just shot it outdoors under a shade and placed a couple of mirrors to reflect the ambient afternoon ( 4 pm ) light towards the figures...

Here are a couple of pics of my MKII leg armor parts before I wounded myself. :(

Thanks for dropping by! til' next post! XD
