NEW Glass Vessles

We just received these dreamlike glass vessels! They are all hang-able and have holes for ventilation in case you have damp mosses or air plants in them! We have metal table stands available to display them (pictured above). They also look great hung from the ceiling with fishing line! To give you an idea of scale, the vessel with the white fairy is about 5.5 inches wide.

Create miniature worlds using moss, mushrooms, fairies, or your own clay figurines! Embellish the glass with paint or washi tape! Hope you're inspired by these vessels as much as we are.

After finishing a few commissioned works, I decided I need to practice my miniature painting this weekend. Last weekend was a bit unproductive ( painting-wise ) as my 8 year old son is getting crazier and nerdier with the game of Warmachine / Hordes. We played like 5 times a day last weekend. I also got my son a Trollbloods faction book that he brings anywhere he goes. My son also decided to add more units to our Trollbloods army as he plan to play Khador and Trollbloods exclusively.

Anyways, This Bloat Trall is from my own slowly growing Cryx army. I do not normally paint my own army as I am content playing with primed armies for the meantime. I have tons of commissioned works to attend to but as I've said I felt I needed to practice my hand painting before moving back to my commissioned works.

This Bloat Trall was painted with Vallejo Game Airs and seal with Vallejo Polyurethan Varnishes. I had a hard time achieving the pale dead skin seen at the Privateer Press website, but had fun painting this model nevertheless.

I still need to add a bit more highlights to the minimum unit of Bile Tralls before I deem them done. I enjoy fielding them against my son last weekend though. :)

Below are some of my Warmachine commissioned works I plan to work on this coming weekend. More painted models coming out of the next weekend as I plan to go berserk painting next week.

I have here another Trollbloods unit from Hordes. This is also a commissioned work from the same client of the Trollkin Champions. As I've said my client wanted different skin tones per unit of Trollbloods, I decided to give these Long Riders the standard Blue of Trollbloods. I must admit that the only part of the models that I enjoyed painting was the skin. I had trouble making the fur of the bisons look good. I will have to practice on fur painting on my own models soon.

These are nice models ( as usual ) from Privateer Press. The only problem is that you need to sculpt fur as the bisons are molded and cast right in the middle. Otherwise the sculpts are pretty solid. My client wanted different skins per unit of Trollbloods. The same blue skin is plain confusing during gameplay. So I decided to use Vallejo Game Air Foul Green as the base color just to give it a different skin. I love it so far! I really liked how the Foul Green skin turned out and should try a greener skin on a Trollbloods unit soon.

These models were painted with Vallejo Game Colors and sealed with Vallejo Satin Polyurethane Varnish. Base work is pretty standard, I just sprinkled some Aquarium pebbles and sand over white wood glue and hand painted with Vallejo Opaque colors.

These little buggers won me SILVER in a Unit Painting Contest at Facebook. These models are my first commissioned miniature painted models as of now. I have a ton more units ( commissioned work ) to paint and post here at my blog soon. I love doing minis these days as it requires so much less clean up and sanding work than Gunpla. My busy schedule just does not allow me to work on Gunpla unlike before.

These models from Privateer Press has very beautiful sculpts and a delight to hand paint. I did airbrush the main green color using Vallejo Game Airs and hand painted the details with various Vallejo colors as well. I loved adding blood all over the Bogs and the Gatorman, looking forward to painting more blood on my other models.
